Metasequoia
Metasequoia, commonly known as the dawn redwood, is a species of deciduous conifer native to central China. It was thought to be extinct until it was rediscovered in the 1940s. Metasequoia is known for its fast growth, tall stature, and unique needle-like leaves that turn yellow and fall in autumn. It can reach heights of up to 200 feet (60 meters) and is often used for timber production and ornamental purposes. Its scientific name is Metasequoia glyptostroboides.
